If your computer seems sluggish and over worked, we can help! Our annual 10 point PC Health check and service is designed to maximize your pc or laptop's performance by removing un-necessary files and registry settings as well removal of spyware software.

We recommend a maintenance service and health check at least once every 12 months to keep things running smoothly

Your computer is dropped off at our workshop where the system is inspected, and some non-intrusive benchmark tests are run to asses system performance. At the time of the service we will download and install any critical Windows Updates, supplied by Microsoft, that have not automatically installed.

This fixed price service is only offered in our workshops as we can keep the price low by completing other tasks in parallel.

What is included in this service:-

• installation of windows updates and service packs
• remove spyware, adware and malware & provide free malware removal software**
• update antivirus definitions if installed or provide free antivirus software**
• clean up of un-necessary or orphaned files and registry settings
• remove internet cached files and cookies & provide free software to keep it clean
• full optimisation of software and hardware settings including firewall
• delete shortcuts from start-up to speed up system
• optimise your windows system - run a series of tests to check that every component is performing as it should
• defragment hard drive to improve file access speed
• valet of the PC inside and out including all fans & heatsinks

What is not included in this service:-

• initial repairs needed in order to carry out the health check. The pc must be in a bootable state for us to carry out the service.
• non windows operating systems, for example Linux , or Mac OS
• a guarantee to increase the speed of your pc. In 90% of cases optimising your pc will lead to a speed increase, this is not always the case.
• Back-ups of your data - We do not back-up your data, so please ensure you have saved all important files to CD or DVD before we start work on your PC. We offer a back-up service for an extra cost should you require it. We cannot be held responsible for files lost or deleted during work on your computer though we will endeavour wherever possible to leave customer's files unchanged. Occasionally it may be necessary to delete or over-write files during the process. Booking our service is acknowledgement of these risks.
